Now Viewing: Chateau Leoville Las Cases
Just as the vineyards face each other, the character of the wine mirrors that of Chateau Latour: concentrated, structured, profound and demanding: indeed the wine is similar to a Pauillac in style. This is a masculine wine that neophytes might find unappealing (in which case I would recommend the more corpulent Grand Vin of 1985), but otherwise I would serve Las-Cases to those that adore traditional claret in all its finery.
