Now Viewing: Mumm (G.H.)
Joyesse (joy-éss), which means “to exist in joy” joins the Mumm portfolio of champagnes: grand cru Mumm de Cramant, signature red-sashed Cordon Rouge, Mumm Brut Rosé, Carte Classique and the upcoming yet-to-be-named prestige cuvée. “Each glass of Joyesse is infused with Chefs de Caves Dominique Demarville’s focused passion for terroir, advanced winemaking techniques and meticulous approach to blending,” said CEO Jean-Marie Barillère. The cuvée is a blend of 35% pinot noir, 50% pinot meunier and 15% chardonnay, of which one-quarter are reserve wines. According to Demarville, pinot meunier from Vallée de la Marne imparts a fruitiness while the addition of chardonnay and pinot noir grapes, as well as the reserve wines, contribute a pleasing complexity.
