Chateau Quinault is situated right in the heart of the town Libourne, its vineyard surrounded by walls is located on a “hot” gravelly soil. The conjugated effects of these factors allow this cru to benefit from a temperature superior compared with the one of the surroundings. Thus, the microclimate is particularly favorable to an early maturation of the grape .The 15 hectare of Château Quinault are planted with 65% merlot, 20% cabernet franc, 10% cabernet sauvignon and 5% malbec. The vines aged in average of 50 years are pruned in double guyot.
