Ever since the 1700’s the Rivetti family is well rooted on the hills that from Bricco face towards Neive. Generation after generation the family has strengthened the commitment to the vineyard and to the farming heritage, as a matter of fact the property of the Rivetti’s has reached a total amount of 42 hectares of vineyards. The wine farms currently in production, “Micca”,”Rivetti” and the one in “Bricco di Neive” are all positioned on the southside where the warm Langhe sun shines the most, all of these vineyards are officially part of the great vineyards of the Barbaresco.The Rivetti family invests a great deal of effort in their production of their classic Langhe wines, such as the Barbaresco, the Barbera d’Alba with its best representative the “Alabarda”, the Dolcetto d’Alba and the Moscato d’Asti. The winery is based on the magnificent hill called Bricco di Neive, an area especially suited for the production of Barbaresco. In this very area there is the section Bricco and Serraboella, in a sunny exposure, stretching from west to east, where the soil develops reddish shades due to the its rich and clayey composition. Standing at the entrance of the Rivetti Estate is the 15th century chapel ushering the majestic wine cathedral made of well designed buildings and underground wine cellars where the wine is refined in small, French wood barrels. The investments in the vineyards are one of the key factors in the effort carried on by the Rivetti family. The winery is a mirror of a family business that is centered on the main man, Dante, who in the last decade has increased the quality of his products thanks to the help of the winery master Ivan Rivetti assisted by Dr. Donato Lanati and by the image curators Katia and Mara Rivetti.
