Now Viewing: Silver Oak Cellars
Silver Oak Cellars
Silver Oak Cellars consists of two separate and distinct estates, one in the Napa Valley and the other in the Alexander Valley. Both are fully integrated for the production of their two appellations, from crush and fermentation to the aging and bottling of our fine Cabernets. Each has an attractive and friendly visitor tasting room. Though the first wines made by Silver Oak Cellars were blended from our Alexander Valley vines, in 1979 they began producing our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The volcanic soils and differing climatic conditions found in the Napa Valley, paired with their decision to use new oak barrels with each vintage, have allowed them to produce a wine of initial austerity and refined complexity. Today, their Oakville estate produces Cabernet from grapes grown on both our 100 acres of Napa Valley vineyards and from nine independent growers with whom Silver Oak Cellars has enjoyed a long term relationship.
