Inga Distillerie was actually established in 1832, is certainly one of the oldest Distilleries. Above is a photo of our Distillerie in 1925. It is a pleasure for us to be able to share our information on Grappas (our specialty) and our family business with you and the rest of the world through this web site We are very proud of our history, our company, and our products. While about 30 million bottles of grappa (made by over 600 producers) are consumed worldwide each year, the quantity of super-premium, varietal grappas like we lovingly create is relatively small. The proliferation of inferior, foul-tasting products has affected the category's overall reputation. Producers and consumers have made so much of the fancy grappa packaging that the focus has been removed, successfully, from its taste. It is our mission to correct that reputation. Like the winemakers of Chianti, who exported only their lowest quality products for many years, the super-premium grappa distillers must now work to improve the international image of grappa.
