Tanzer Review:
Good full rubyred. Explosive, wild aromas of blackberry, leather, game, minerals, iron, brown spices and cocoa powder I might have picked this as RomaneeSaintVivant from the nose. Sweet, generous and creamy, with very suave flavors of black fruits, game, leather and licorice. Very supple, broad, horizontal wine, finishing persistent and subtle, with sweet tannins. 8992 points

A gentle touch of wood frames spicy black fruit that is ripe but remains quite elegant and pure. The round, intense and supple flavors retain a fine sense of balance and precision with plenty of sap buffering the firmly tannic spine. There is a touch of mocha and a bit of warmth on the finish but again, it adds character rather than being enough to detract from the overall sense of elegance. In a word, impressive. Burghound
