Reluctantly revealing a nose of minerals, the demure 2003 chevalier-montrachet (domaine-white) displays a tight character. Impressive depth of fruit (minerals and pears) can be detected in its light-bodied, bright, vivacious offering.
Tanzer Review:
Aromas of apple, clove, stone and white flowers. Chewy and superrich, but with lively acidity leavening the wines thickness of texture and full ripeness. The flavors of apple, powdered stone and white flowers show a compelling sweetness, as well as lovely lift, right through to the very long finish. At once wonderfully rich and crisp, and distinctly openknit for young ChevalierMontrachet.
