Michel and Stéphane Ogier's distinctly up-market Vin De Pays is Cote Rotie in all but name. From granitic soil the wine is matured in barriques, of which 10% are new, and has characteristic nose of violets and bacon fat, and a harmonious textured palate with a twist of black pepper on the finish.
