Product Information: The Roederer style is built on precision, patience and attention to detail, reflecting the spirit of perfectionism that is the mark of the House. That perfectionism is apparent is evey cuvee, every nuance and subtle variation that conspires to give each champagne its pleasurable taste: the outstanding smoothness of the bubbles; a taste that balances fruitiness and freshness; a smooth and subtle structure, marked by a delicate vinosity that finishes on a sensation of fullness.
Bright aromas of orange, acacia honey and toast. Brisk and lively in the mouth, with spicy flavors of quince, pear and cinnamon apple. Boasts very good density and extract. Spice notes lift the subtle, lingering finish.
-Stephen Tanzer Wine Spectator Review: Light and lively, featuring apple, toast, ginger and light vanilla flavors. Balanced and on the dry side, with a creamy texture and a lingering butter pastry aftertaste. Drink now through 2011. Ranked # 95. Parker Review: The NV Brut Premier is a pretty, perfumed offering redolent of pears, greens apples and flowers. This medium-bodied, refined NV Champagne offers excellent length and a crisp, refreshing finish with notes of sweetness that linger on the close. The Brut Premier is unique among the estates wines in that it contains 20% Pinot Meunier in addition to the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Roughly 30-40% of this wine undergoes malolactic fermentation. This is Lot L 030946A104787, disgorged February 26th 2008. Anticipated maturity 2008-2010. Tanzer Review: Bright yellow with a strong mousse. Fresh lemon and lime zest on the nose, plus a hint of white pepper adding energy. Tightly wound and focused, with energetic citrus and orchard fruit flavors underscored by dusty minerals. Nicely balanced and pure, with very good finishing citric bite and persistence. This leads more with finesse than with power today, which suits me fine. Other Notes: This Roederer nonvintage seems to be getting drier, bringing out more of the green fruits and less creamy character. It works well here because the wine has some bottle age, giving a beautifully balanced wine that has great class and elegance. Wine Enthusiast | ||||
