Their boiling, fermentation, and bottling are all done under the strict supervision of the Mashgichim. The Manischewitz Wine Company is owned by prominent Jewish families who are committed to making high quality wine within the guidelines of Rabbinical Law. Richard Sands, Chairman, CEO and President of Manischewitz Wine Company, and Robert Sands, Group President of Manischewitz Wine Company, are well known for their philanthropic, charitable, and religious activities in support of international, national, and local Jewish organizations. The plant closes early on Friday and Erev Yom Tov, so the employees arrive home before candle lighting time. The winery is also closed on the Sabbath and on Jewish holidays throughout the year.
