2004 Mas Guiot Syrah Cuvee Numa 750ML

The luxury cuvee of 100% Syrah aged in new oak, the 2004 Costieres de Nimes Numa, is dense, chewy, but was disjointed and difficult to analyze the day I tasted it. There was a lot going on, but the tannins remain jagged, and the wine primary and unevolved. It should turn out to be at least a very good and possibly excellent wine, but it needs another year of bottle age. -Robert Parker
