Product Information:

A very large crimson red wine with cramped but smooth tannins, a nice balance, as well as black fruits and liquorice flavor. A bottle which can be kept for very long time. Blend of: Grenache, Mourvédre and Syrah.

The Wine Advocate: Fashioned from 80-year old Grenache vines and small amounts of barrique-aged Syrah and Mourvedre, the 2004 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Vieilles Vignes boasts a saturated ruby/purple color along with notes of creme de cassis, raspberries, white flowers, and a subtle touch of pain grille. It possesses high tannin, dense, full-bodied flavors, and a long, persistent finish. Give it 4-5 years of bottle age and enjoy it over the following two decades. - Robert Parker, February 2006.

Packed with dark plum, boysenberry and blueberry fruit, along with graphite, black tea, sweet smoke and licorice. Long finish shows fig, mineral and toast notes. Great length. Drink now through 2026. - Wine Spectator November 15, 2006.
