Very pale color; After a double decant to loosen this youngster up the wine revealed a terrific nose of citrus, vanilla and stones. In the middle there was pear along with more citrus and spice from the oak treatment. Great purity and focus. There was so much minerality in this wine that at times I thought, "good Chablis". It had awesome structure and balance with some austerity typical of a good Corton-Charlemagne. There was a relatively high amount of acidity which made it a bit painful to drink now. An outstanding, long finish.
