Product Information: "The 2005 may not be as good as la Goulee’s remarkable 2003, but additional time in barrel may prove otherwise. A 5,000-case blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot made by Cos d’Estournel’s winemaker, Jean-Guillaume Prats, from a northern Medoc vineyard, the dense ruby, purple-tinged 2005 exhibits beautiful aromas of creme de cassis, chocolate, and hints of earth, smoke, and spice. Displaying sweet tannin, a fleshy, medium-bodied, opulent style, and impressive purity as well as length, it will be approachable when released, and should keep for 7-10 years."
