Winemaker's notes: This wine truly speaks of where it came from - cool climate vineyards. In the glass, the aromas of crushed violets, blueberries and blackberries jump from the glass, mixed with subtle nuances of coffee creme brulee. On the palate, the wines' firm, yet sweet tannins bite down and then explode to reveal the mouthwatering core of brambleberry, blueberry and black plums with savory notes of white pepper and river rock. This wine is big and expressive but still seems to maintain a certain elegance, much like our 2004 pinot noirs.
