Product Information: This is a wonderful collaborative effort between importer superstar Jorge Ordonez of Spain and world famous dessert winemaker Alois Kracher of Austria. The wines are made from Muscat (Moscatel in Spain) grapes and hand selected from old vine vineyards. For the Old Vines Cuvee the grapes are chosen from the oldest vines in the vineyards resulting in the highest level of concentration. The individual bunches are carefully harvested and left to dry on racks in a special room at the winery. The wine possesses opulent notes of caramelized orange skins and honeysuckle. Cheers to Jorge and Alois for creating what are sure to become one of Spain's greatest dessert wines.
"Displaying great richness, the 2004 Old Vines is a selection made by Ordonez and Kracher from the best grapes of the Victoria cuvee. The grapes are dried in a closed room under tightly controlled temperature and humidity conditions, and are then pressed and fermented. Reminiscent of a Vin de Paille, this wine possesses great acidity as well as incredible sweetness, but it is not cloying. Wonderful hazelnut, marmalade, coffee, and sweet, dried peach and apricot fruit characteristics emerge from this full-bodied, intensely rich wine. It should be served by itself as an after-dinner indulgence."

"Light, green-tinged gold. Wonderfully pure, racy aromas of peach and pear, further lifted by a vibrant mineral tone. This conveys a powerful impression of extract, with its ripe orchard fruit flavors sharpened and lifted by juicy acids and demonstrating superb penetration. An essence of peach flavor, with remarkable precision and a vibrant, endless finish. A highly distinctive wine."
