The inaugural wine from the joint venture between Piero Antinori and Haras de Pirque owner Eduardo Matte is, as might be expected, a rich, bruising, forceful red. The blend is 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Carmenere and it exudes deep charcoal, smoke and black-fruit aromas. Next in line is a smooth but heady palate of cassis and herbal notes. The finish is oaky with a hint of coconut. A worthy new entry into the high-end Chilean sweepstakes. Wine Enthusiast - 92 points
