Product Information: Anne has enviable holdings in Clos-Vougeot, Richebourg, Chambolle-Musigny, and Vosne-Romanée, and she also produces some of the finest Bourgogne and Hautes-Cotes-de-Nuits in the entire region. Reds here are fermented traditionally in lined cement tanks, and are bottled after approximately 16 months aging in mostly new oak, the amount of which varies depending on the level of the wine. The wines themselves combine uncanny concentration and power with a harmonious elegance – a combination that is often attempted, but rarely as successfully achieved as here. The relatively tiny quantities of wine Anne produces from her six hectares of vines are in huge demand the world over. Parker Review: The 2005 Richebourg leads with intense blackberry, raspberry, cedar and smoked meat aromas, then coats all reaches of the palate with faintly oily, rich fruit. This has power and grip, yet a refined, creamy texture, subtle, mouthwatering acidity, and terrific precision in its smoke and mineraltinged black fruit and marrow finish. | ||||
