The 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon, now in bottle, is an amazing wine with a dense purple color and a gorgeous nose of new saddle leather, espresso roast, licorice, chocolate, and enormous quantities of black currant, cherry, and fruit intermixed with smoked meats. Full-bodied, powerful, with a broad savory mouthfeel, a multi-layered texture, and no hardness in the finish, this wine has evolved beautifully, and can be drunk now or cellared for 25+ years. 96 points - Robert Parker
Parker Review:
Deeply colored. Complex aromatics give a positive first impression with dominant floral and sweet caramel notes. The very rich and ripe fruit comes through in a pleasurable way. Big, powerful, concentrated, dense, high alcohol on entry. This wine needs time to get beyond being an interesting, though generic blockbuster. It is quite tannic with superb texture and mouth feel. Theres a touch of citrus here. Long, powerful, consistent finish. Strong upside potential for those willing to delay gratification.
