Our San Bernabe Vineyard is the most diverse single vineyard in the world, with more than 20 grape varieties planted in 21 different microclimates. This area is one of the coolest growing regions in California, perfect for developing excellent flavor concentration and balance in red and white wine varieties. Short bursts of warmth during the day are followed by cool afternoons and cold nights from breezes off the Pacific Ocean. Well-draining, sandy soils from ancient sand dunes gently stress vines, causing them to develop intensely flavored grapes. Our land affords us the opportunity to craft our award-winning Monterra wines and this label is symbolic of our devotion to the land.
