WineSpectator Review:
Darkcolored, with beautiful spice, blackberry and licorice aromas. Fullbodied, round and velvety, with wonderful balance and a long, long finish. This is a Montrose that caresses your palate. Best after 2011 JS
Parker Review:
An impressive effort for the vintage, the 2004 Montrose possesses a deep ruby/purpletinged color as well as a sweet nose of black fruits intermixed with notions of smoke, cold steel, earth, and subtle background wood. With excellent texture, a sweet ripeness, medium to full body, and moderate tannin, it should drink well for 15 years RP
