Fragrant, with fresh, floral pear, honeysuckle, fig and melon flavors that are clean and refreshing, gaining depth and nuance on the finish, with light toasty oak notes. Drink now through 2011. 90 points - Wine Spectator
Winemaker's notes: This wine, like all of the LIOCO vineyard designate wines, was grown from the ground up. No bulk wine/juice was used. It was hand picked and sorted, and naturally fermented in 100% stainless steel using a wild yeast. It underwent a natural malolactic fermentation, and was bottled without fining or filtration. This wine showcases the hallmark traits of Sonoma County Chardonnay with lemon blossom, chamomile, and chalk playing leading roles.
Tanzer Review:
Pale yellow. Racy, sharply focused lime, grapefruit and quinine aromas are underscored by wet stone and jasmine. Firm and dry but not hard, offering tangy citrus and dried apple flavors. Finishes clean and brisk, with good citric cut.
