Product Information: This exquisitely rare rose is from the esteemed Grand Cru Classe Chateau Larcis Ducasse, bordering St Emilion's acclaimed Chateau Pavie. A jewel of this illustrious appellation, Larcis Ducasse has produced Gold medal-winning wines since the 1800s, and produces just 300 coveted cases of fine rose annually. As close friends of the estate, we were thrilled to secure 100 cases from this hallowed terroir at this marvellous price. It is crafted using the saignee method, whereby a tiny amount of Merlot and Cabernet Franc juice is bled off after minimal skin contact to create this fruity and refined rose. The remaining juice goes on to become a Grand Cru red wine, retailing at over £20 per bottle and described as an 'immortal effort'.
This rare and very fine dry rose boasts quality levels practically unheard of in a pink - as you can see from the stature of the red. Rich, serious and divine with food.
