Wine Spectator Review: Gentle but generous. A gorgeous mouthful of pear and spice, with tangy notes of lime and peach blossom that linger on the subtle finish. A white wine of real elegance that can age. Best from 2008 through 2016. Parker Review: The 2006 Chardonnay Lenswood Croft was barrel-fermented in 33% new oak, aged on its lees, and stirred monthly. It remained in oak for 8 months. It is medium straw-colored with a perfume of smoke, toast, mineral, green apple, and poached pear. Slightly austere on the palate, the fruit is intense and concentrated. It will evolve for 2-3 years and drink well for 8-10 years. Tanzer Review: Pale gold. Fresh peach, apple and tangerine aromas are given depth by spicy vanillin oak and toasted grain. A zesty, citrus-flavored midweight that nicely balances brightness and power, finishing spicy and long, with a lingering impression of ripe orchard fruits. | ||||
