Parker Review:
An equal part of cofermented Sangiovese and Syrah, the 2005 La Croce, which is aged in large 500liter French pungeons, is a wellmade, serious, bistro/trattoriastyled wine with loads of berry fruit and some hints of fresh tobacco interwoven with licorice, pepper, and roasted herbs. The wine has excellent texture, medium to full body, and no hard edges. It should drink nicely for 4 to 5 years.
Tanzer Review:
Bright ruby. Powerfully scented aroma of ripe dark berries underscored by smoky mocha and clove. Creamy cassis and cherry flavors are firmed by finegrained tannins and sweetened by a seductive cocoa powder quality that extends through the finish. A touch bitter at the end, but I suspect thats simply a function of youth.
