A beautifully balanced Pinot Noir from the Thomas Winery in Carlton, Oregon. Not a "fruit bomb" in the least, his elegant and complex pinots are made in the style of the Grand and Premier Cru Burgundies of the Cotes d' Or. The 2005 has a refined nose of berries and plums, with flavors of herbs, spice and red fruit.
