Big and focused, with rose petal, toast and spicy oak notes. A classic spicy strawberry character leads to a long silky finish.
Parker Review: The 2005 NuitsSt.Georges Les St.Georges again illustrates roasted richness and a seamless meld of meat fruit and mineral. Hints of tar and toasted pecan add further aromatic complexity. Dramatically expansive and mouthcoating, with endless variations distilled, fresh sorbetlike on black cherry, purple plum, and their pits this wine weaves tar, iodine, and chalk into its supremely long finish.
Other Notes: Deep ruby. A deft touch of wood sets off the seductively enveloping aromas of cassis and black cherry extract that can also be found on the opulent, concentrated, powerful and sleekly muscled flavors that convey a real sense of volume without compromising the refined character. While not deeper or more complex, this is eversoslightly longer than the Les Cailles and should also be capable of a very long aging curve. Equally impressive if different. 92 94 points Burghound
