WineSpectator Review:
Wonderful aromas of licorice, crushed blackberry and mineral. Fullbodied, with very wellintegrated tannins and vanilla, berry and aniseed flavors. Has a long, long finish. Best after 2015.
Parker Review:
While nearly medieval in its backwardness, this pure tannic, mediumbodied, rich St.Julien exhibits plenty of creme de cassis, espresso roast, smoked herbs, and spice notes. It requires 810 years of cellaring and should keep for 25 years
Tanzer Review:
Deep red. Lowtoned aromas of cherry, smoke and earth. Lush and rich but quite dry, with rather powerful flavors of redcurrant, chocolate, minerals and leather. A bit dominated today by its firm acids and substantial dusty tannins, which build with aeration. This cant match the 2005 LeovilleBarton for vinosity. 8890 points
