Product Information: Camigliano Brunello di Montalcino Wine Spectator Review: Pungent, almost raisiny fruit, with a hint of white truffle. Full-bodied yet rather hollow, with a spicy vanilla note on the finish and a citrusy aftertaste. Chewy. Needs some bottle age to resolve itself. Best after 2009. 13,300 cases made Parker Review: Loads of jammy fruit intermingled with sweet toasted oak, earthiness, spices and chocolate flow from Camigliano's 2003 Brunello di Montalcino. Although this dark, powerful wine offers excellent length, the tannins clamp down on the finish. Another year or so may help...Anticipated maturity 2009-2015. Tanzer Review: Deep red with ruby highlights. Brooding aromas of dark berries, licorice and bitter chocolate, lifted by floral and herbal notes. Sweet and dense on entry, then creamy in the middle not roasted but seems made in a rather extractive style. Finishes with chewy, drying tannins. Good concentration here, but shows more personality than finesse. | ||||
