Wine Spectator Review: Bright and juicy, this red brims with blackberry and raspberry fruit, accented by smoke, mineral and floral notes. It's tender and fresh, yet has enough tannins for grip. Not a powerhouse, but just sings through the finish. Drink now through 2015. Parker Review: The 2005 LErmita comes from a parcel of 70-year-old head-pruned vines of which 85% is Garnacha, the balance Carinena and Cabernet Sauvignon. Inky purple-hued, it has a totally seductive perfume of slate, black cherry, black raspberry, and toasty new oak. Tight but complete, give this sensational effort 10-12 years to fully express itself and drink it through 2045. Tanzer Review: Bright ruby. Powerful cherry and dark berry aromas display a brooding, deeply concentrated character, slowly revealing exotic floral and Indian spice qualities. Sharply focused, palate-staining red fruit flavors deliver uncanny power as well as finesse. Finishes with stunning focus and thrust, leaving mineral-drenched red fruits in its wake. An utterly remarkable wine that bears a shocking price tag. | ||||
