Product Information:
“The
2005 Clos des Andes is 100% Malbec sourced from an 80 year old vineyard in the
Lujan de Cuyo region of Mendoza.
The wine was 50% barrel fermented and was aged for 12 months in 50% new and 50%
1 year French oak. Inky purple in color, the wine has a lovely bouquet of wood
smoke, cedar, violets, blueberry, and black cherry. Firm and well-balanced, it
has superb depth, sweet, fruit, and a lengthy finish. Give it 3-4 years to
evolve and drink it through 2025. A barrel sample of the 2006 (both 2005 and
2006 are generally regarded as great vintages) was equally promising and
age-worthy.”
