The 2006 Pinot Noir Anderson Valley offers a lovely nose of violets, sweet raspberries and cherries, medium to fullbodied flavors, terrific purity, and a long finish. It can be enjoyed over the next 3 to 4 years. This serious new producer in the Boonville area of Mendocino is well worth a look. I was thrilled to see my esteemed colleague, Lettie Teague, tout these wines in Food and Wine magazine as one of her best discoveries of the year.
