WineSpectator Review:
Fine aromas of caramel, lychee and spice, turning more delicate on the palate, despite its breadth and weight. Well balanced, with a lingering aftertaste of rose and spice. Very pure and detailed. Drink now through 2015.
Parker Review:
The rose and violet scented 2000 Gewurztraminer Vendanges Tardives is a plump, rich, medium bodied wine. Yellow fruits, raspberries, strawberries, and apricots can be found in its sultry character. This highly expressive wine also possesses a long, pure finish.
Tanzer Review:
Healthy pale gold color. Highly perfumed nose combines candied citrus peel, mirabelle and cinnamon. Brisk, spicy and intensely flavored not at all overly sweet or heavy for late harvest gewurztraminer. I obviously caught this wine at an awkward stage two years ago, because it has turned out very well.
