While this estates wines never seem to be as good as one hopes (I have still have memories of the 1982 dancing across my palate), the 2008 has turned out reasonably well. It possesses sweet herb and coffee-infused black cherry, caramel, and cola-like fruit, medium body, a supple texture, and a very good finish. Enjoy this consumer-friendly Pomerol over the next 10-12 years.-Robert Parker

Tanzer Review:
Dark red. Coffee, leather, licorice and a meaty nuance on the nose. Less fat and fruity than the young 2006, with dominant flavors of chocolate mint, coffee and meat. The tannins are a bit tougher than those of the 2007 but avoid coming off as hard. Stephane Derenoncourt took over as consultant here from Michel Rolland with this vintage.
