Wine Spectator Review:
Solid baby sticky, with a core of apple pie, honey and spicy fruit on the palate. Medium to fullbodied, with medium sweetness and a lively finish. Score range 92 to 96
FChristian Seely triumphed both in Pauillac and Sauternes in 2008. This Suduiraut displays immense intensity on the nose with clear honey, limestone and a touch of almond. Crystalline. The palate is medium-bodied, lovely texture, honeyed fruit, butter, mandarin, a touch of quince and almond. Cohesive right through to the long, seductive finish. This is a sophisticated, confident Sauternes that will cellar effortlessly.-Neal Martin
Bright yellowgold. Subdued but powerful nose offers fresh stone fruits, grapefruit zest, ginger and honey, all lifted by a floral topnote. Lush, thick and honeyed, but with superb acidity framing the flavors of mandarin orange, pineapple, honey and chalk. Finishes very long and subtle, with a saline nuance and terrific fruit penetration. A good bit of the estates sauvignon blanc went into the dry S de Suduiraut in 07, noted managing director Christian Seely. 92 to 95 points.
