Winemaker's notes - Plata Wine Company 2008 Rose of Syrah is a bright and pure colored rose that screams... Summer! A pretty and clear color of red and lighter shades of pink tells the drinker that they should be ready for a wine that will both refresh as well as satisfy. As the taster lifts the glass to their nose they are flushed with the pure aromas of wild strawberries and watermelon, with a hint of white pepper. On the palate all of your aromas perceived are realized with the addition of acid giving the wine lift. One can tell that it’s this lift that will let this wine to be paired with lighter foods, such as grilled fish or chicken.
