Parker Review: The Jadot 2007 Savigny-les-Beaune Clos des Guettes reflects its high altitude, stony plateau location (or at least, so Lardiere believes) in pungent, gingery spiciness, which is here mingled with litchi and fresh apple and leads to a quite rich and expansive palate, with smoky, chalky undertones. The finish here is a touch austere compared with what came before, a circumstance doubtless pointing to the effects of sulfur at bottling. But this will prove fascinating and versatile for at least the next several years. | ||||
