Product Information: Winemaker's notes - 2008 marks my 2nd year making a Red Blend from Santa Barbara County. Originally the result of a mistake in the winery in 2007, the 2008 is a more focused effort, but no less of a surprise! Modeled after some of my favorite blends from the south of France, the largest component of this wine is Syrah (51%) which adds piercing focused fruit, and vibrant, lasting acidity. Cabernet Sauvignon (32%) adds richness and depth, as well as a rounder fruit component to the blend. Finally, Cabernet Franc (17%) adds a weedy note, which brings this blend to completion and allows it to sing in harmony, better than the sum of its parts! | ||||
