Product Information: Brewed in large open troughs carved out of granite. To heat the wort (unfermented beer), granite stones are heated until they are white hot and dropped into the troughs. This archaic practice results in rich caramelized flavors and a hint of smoke. Once the boil is over and the wort is cooled, yeast is added and open fermentation occurs in the same granite troughs. This is basically a rustic Doppelbock, and fans of the style should certainly seek this out. | ||||
