Parker Review: The 2007 Barbera dAsti Ca di Pian offers up plums, dark cherries, herbs and flowers on a rich, mid-weight frame, revealing plenty of length and fine overall balance. The bright, focused acidity of Barbera from Asti comes through on the finish, and the wine is best enjoyed at the dinner table. Anticipated maturity 2010-2015. Tanzer Review: Bright ruby-red. Blackberry, violet and spices on the lively nose. Ripe and juicy, with harmonious acidity framing the dark fruit, fresh herb and mineral flavors. Not overly oaky despite the fact that it spent almost a year in one- and two-year-old barriques Finishes with very good length and cut, and little in the way of tannins. | ||||
