Parker Review: The 2007 Barolo Bricco Viole shows wonderful roundness in this vintage. Black cherries, licorice, violets and new leather are some of the nuances that emerge from this soft, supple Bricco Viole. If anything, the 2007 is almost too easy of a wine, as most of the cut and verve that makes Barolos from this site so distinctive are missing. Still, it is impossible not to admire the striking depth and richness of the fruit here. The finish is suave and almost uncharacteristically elegant, but gorgeous all the same. Anticipated maturity 2015-2027. Other Notes: This is juicy and pruney, with floral and berry character. Full and velvety, with a long caressing finish. I am a big fan of this tiny producer.
