Product Information:

Winemaker's notes - Ritual opens with striking aromas of black cherries, raspberry and plum. The mid palate is round, soft and elegant with black currant and blueberry notes mingling with hints of cola. Its rich, yet restrained tannins provide depth and lead to a luxurious finish.

Ritual Pinot Noir brings legendary Chilean vintner Agustin Huneeus together with American winemaker Paul Hobbs to produce a small bottling of a Pinot Noir from the renowned Casablanca Valley. Casablanca has become Chile’s top producing region for Pinot Noir. Located 21 miles from the Pacific Ocean, Casablanca Valley is Chile’s best terroir for Pinot Noir. The region’s coastal breezes, morning fog and well-drained loamy soils mirror California’s Russian River Valley, providing Pinot with its preferred growing conditions. A long, even growing season produces intensely concentrated wines with deep color.

Wine Spectator Review:
A big, ripe style, with a strong toasty vanilla frame to the full-bodied core of black cherry and dark plum fruit, followed by a twinge of licorice on the finish. Theres more muscle than finesse in the end, but this is very solid.

Parker Review:
Medium cherry red floral, cherry, and raspberry notes, velvety texture, good balance and length.

Other Notes:
Beautiful aromas of red raspberry, black cherry, red licorice, mineral, smoke, and toast. The palate is very round and delicious flavors of red raspberry, black cherry, dark chocolate, mineral, and subtle hints of oak and spice. The tannins are very soft, but they definitely play a role in the structure and base of the wine. Great balance of acid, tannin, and fruit.
