Wine Spectator Review: This bright, crisp and crystal-clear white evokes spring water over stones, with a note of lemon verbena and a hint of clove. Leaves a tactile impression on the finish. Best from 2013 through 2022. 90 cases imported. Tanzer Review: White peach, yellow flowers, honey and wet stone on the nuanced nose, lifted by treble notes of ginger and lavender. This also conveys a distinctly sweet impression, offering strong yellow fruit and spice flavors. Finishes persistent and spicy, with very good grip. These two 2008s came as a bit of a shock following the drier 2009s here. Michel Coutoux noted that this wine may still have had a bit of malic acidity at the time of the bottling and thus was filtered more strictly. Other Notes: An intensely herb and green fruit suffused nose that is sprinkled with discreet wet stone notes are picked up by the elegant, pure and detailed flavors that possess excellent mid-palate fat as well as a highly persistent finish where the intensity really picks up. Niellon often produces outstanding wine from this vineyard and that is certainly the case in '08. 92 points, Burghound | ||||
