Harvested extremely late (October 11, 12, 13), this blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc saw 100% new oak, aging on its lees and neither fining nor filtration. The product of visionary Bernard Magrez, it boasts an opaque purple color in addition to copious notes of espresso, white chocolate, blueberries, boysenberries and blackberries. Full-bodied, tannic, youthful and loaded with potential, it may merit an even higher score in a few years. Drink it over the next 20 years.
