Product Information: We're pleased to be able to offer these rare offerings from Carte Blanche, a truly exciting up-and-coming Napa Valley project. Proprietor Nicholas Allen has quite the wine pedigree; his great grandfather, Clarence Dillon, purchased Chateau Haut-Brion in 1935, and subsequently acquired Chateau La Mission Haut-Brion in 1983. Allen made the wise decision to hire Luc Morlet to transform his phenomenally-sourced fruit into spectacular wines. Morlet's work at Chateau Dauzac, Newton, and Peter Michael have led to a string of critically-acclaimed, high-scoring efforts. 125 cases produced. A stunning Sonoma blend of 67% Sauvignon Blanc, 33% Semillon from spectacular sites in Knights Valley and Alexander Valley. A bright, vivid nose shows citrus, orange blossom and stone fruits. A vibrant fresh attack reveals pear, white peach, and frangipani; while ripe tannins showcase lemon zest, wet stones and mineral notes. The finish is clean and rich with faint petrol lingering. Wine Spectator Review: Racy lemon, tangerine and Key lime flavors are vivid and juicy, with spicy details and touches of lanolin and chamomile.
