Wine Spectator Review:
Almost too easy, with a velvety feel and lush blackberry, blueberry and plum fruit. Shows lovely spice shadings, with a dash of anise. Very flattering, but stays focused all the way through. Thoroughly delicious. 100 percent Merlot.

Parker Review:
One of the more impressive examples from this estate (normally a light, fruity but seductive styled wine), the 2010 possesses more weight and richness while not losing any of its seductive powers. Its deep ruby/purple color is followed by copious notes of kirsch, raspberries and loamy soil undertones. Medium to full-bodied, pure, soft and opulent, this impressive Pomerol will drink well young and last for a decade. 90-92 points.

Other Notes:
The La Grave-a-Pomerol has an unashamedly opulent nose that flirts with over-ripeness but does not dare go that far under the watchful eye of Christian Moueix. Ripe dark cherries, creme de cassis and a touch of marmalade. The palate is very smooth on the entry, a sensual La Grave-a-Pomerol with pure blackberry, dark plum and wild strawberry, leading to a surprisingly minerally finish. I like the acidity in this La Grave and though it does not have the backbone or complexity to suggest longevity, it will offer medium-term pleasure. Neal Martin, 90-92 points.
