Product Information: The Barrel Blend Napa Valley Red produced by the Yountville-based Hill Family Estate family-owned winery continues to ride a wave of success. This wine’s following extends to some of the country’s top restaurants. In Las Vegas, Jason Quinn, Sommelier at Prime Steakhouse in Bellagio, loves to recommend The Barrel Blend as a complement to prime cuts of beef, and Chef Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Las Vegas and Bouchon Yountville both feature this quality & value driven red wine as well. Veteran vineyard manager Doug Hill’s nearly 30-years of experience assures top-quality juice at an amazingly affordable price. Barrel Blend is a combination of mountain Malbec from Atlas Peak and valley floor Merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet from a few select vineyards. The collaborative efforts of world-class surfer Kyle Knox (yes, that’s Kyle in the “barrel” on the label, an image miraculously captured by photographer Patrick Ruddy), Doug and his National Sales Director son Ryan, along with Winemaker Alison Doran, ultimately determine the final cuvée of The Barrel Blend. It’s a wine with the intensity of a big wave, made with the finesse and balance needed to ride it.
