We love Riojas, and even moreso if they are affordable and delicious! This Reserva was aged for 3 years in American Oak. The owner Luis Canas, at age 83, remains involved in the winery. He stands at the head of the selection table each harvest, keenly ensuring only the best parcels of grapes are used. The 2004 Reserva is considered a classic vintage for Rioja. Its beautiful purple color reveals aromas of smoke, Asian spices, incense, blackberry, and licorice. Enjoy through 2019, and probably beyond.
