| "Marsanne is almost never seen without its sister grape, Roussane. Marsanne is a minor grape in France, but a major white wine varietal in the Rhone region. Found mostly in Hermitage Blanc wine, it is taking root in Australia and California especially by the Rhone Rangers. This is a full-bodied wine with hints of spice, pear, and a good minerality. If you're patient, you'll find a full bodied one perfectly balanced that dances on your palate even holding up to full bodied dishes. Roussanne is the lighter of the Marssanne-Roussanne blend. Found in Rhone blends and New World areas such as California, it is the only one of a very few white varietals allowed into the final blends of Rhone red wines. With aromas of pear, peach, flowers, and tea, this varietal is amazing on its own". | ||
